The Harriet Davis Trust
seasideThe Harriet Davis Seaside Holiday Trust for Disabled Children was set up in 1992 by Kit & John Davis, in memory of their daughter, who suffered from a rare degenerative metabolic disorder and died aged 11.

Through personal experience Kit and John knew the difficulties of trying to find holiday accommodation for a severely disabled child so they set up the trust in Harriet’s memory, to provide a house, suitably adapted and equipped, which would be available for families to have a seaside holiday at a low rent. The result was Harriet’s House, situated on Tenby Harbour in Castle Square.

Harriet Davis house Twenty-five years later, the trust has four such holiday houses in Pembrokeshire, available to anyone who needs them. Three of the houses are for wheelchair users and the fourth is adapted for children with learning difficulties and autism. The houses can be used by disabled adults out of school holiday time.

Grants can be given to families in financial need.
