Steve Thorp is a writer, teacher and therapist living and working in Pembrokeshire. His poetry and non-fiction writing deals with themes of ecology, psychology and soul. His work has been published in Dark Mountain Book 3, The Obsidian Art poetry series, The Interpreters House, Unpsychology Magazine, Earthlines Magazine as well as in a range of pamphlets and books published by Raw Mixture Publishing. He also edits Unpsychology Magazine in print edition and online.

His first series of poetry pamphlets were published in 2007, and have recently been republished in digital versions. Other pamphlets include Life and The Fixing of Things which were collaborations with spiritual artist Kim Major-George. The Fixing of Things (2012) was produced for an exhibition tour in 2012. Another of Steve’s art and poetry project Trails, a collaboration with artist Elaine Johnson, was put to music and performed in a concert by the Songlines Choir in London in 2015.

His most recent books are SOUL MANIFESTOS AND PIECES OF JOY: a book of short poetic essays, described as  "amazing, extraordinary, powerful, necessary and deeply inspiring" by Dave Hicks, author of 'Educating for Hope in Troubled Times’; and SOUL MEDITATIONS: a little book of poetic meditations which is an encouragement to sustain the kind of beautiful, joyful and resilient life that might make a difference in our troubled world.
Over the summer Steve’s follow up to Soul Meditations, entitled LIFESONGS, will be published, together with BLUE MARBLE – a long eco-poem in pamphlet form beautifully illustrated by Ruth Thorp, and both of these will be launched at the Narberth Book Fair.
